What are Crossover Patch Cables?

According to cabling standards, one pair of conductors is defined as the transmit pair, and one pair as the receiving pair. If a cable is connected to a hub, or if it is connected to a switch, the crossover occurs internally within either the switch or the hub. If you are not using a hub or switch, you have need for crossover patch cables. Certain types of conductors have certain crossing requirements; for example, 10BaseT and 1000BaseTX crossover only requires crossing of Pin 1/2 with Pin 3/6.

If you are unsure which type of crossover patch cables you might need, feel free to contact us. We will happily help you determine which type of cable you need, as well as provide custom quality supply for your applications.
